Culture and Education Assistance Initiative
The true nature of a culture is contained in its language and there has been an initiative underway in Dano for some time to develop a bilingual educational system. This way, the Dagara and French languages share the stage, which makes a powerful statement to children stepping out into the world. We have been asked to help address this initiative, and since language is at the heart of culture, we have agreed to try!

With a generous grant we were able to initiate a cultural initiative aimed at bringing Dagara music, culture and values back into the classroom. We will be supplying some 30+ primary schools with ballafons in August of 2007!
